A TAXING Week
Substack Sunday, April 12, 2026
It is tax week and I am behind by a few years. I was kind of panicked about it, but the kind customer representative with TurboTax let me know I was not alone in filing late or filing extensions. If you are like me and have felt a little overwhelmed in the last four years, be encouraged that, according to TurboTax, if you don’t have your government documents send the form in with what you do have and the government will inform you of what you are missing and extend grace. We’ll see. I don’t always think of grace and government going together. While I wait to see what happens, I thought it would be fun to feature some photographs from the Garden Art Girl archives. ENJOY!!!
Life Unfolds in Vivid Color
This is actually a work-in-progress. I started this piece of garden art on my phone. Part of the way through, Google Photos changed how their markup tools work. I am now on a new learning curve. I thought I’d share what I have so far. A bougainvillea was the inspiration for this celebration of spring.
CREATING GRACE
Sometimes, I have to create grace on my own.
GRACE
Life grows in around grace. In this case, in the flavor of chocolate mint.
PLAY
Play often helps me find my way to all good things.
Take some time to play this week!

You know how I feel about play! For me, play returns me to the preciousness of my childlike innocence, over and over again. Imho, once we stay connected to this, it’s really hard to lose each other (but you read that post 🙈). PS. all those precious words of self-love you inscribed on the flower, warmed my heart !!! ♥️🌺💫
I am glad I married a CPA, now retired. Although he has his flaws, he's very handy to have around this time of year.
